Care instructions
Regular care keeps mailboxes
in good condition.
Mailboxes are often located in places where they are easily exposed to various environmental and traffic-related pollutants. Stress is caused by, for example, salts used for street maintenance, as well as road dust and soot. In addition to impurities, winter conditions and the sun's UV radiation also strain mailboxes. To achieve a long service life, we recommend regular cleaning and maintenance of the mailboxes at least once a year, for example in the autumn before the winter frosts.
Wash the mailbox with a mild detergent, for example, dish soap.
Rinse.
Finally, dry the surface.
The clean, dry surface can optionally be waxed and polished with car wax. A waxed surface repels dirt better. However, do not wax a textured surface (e.g., textured black).
Lubricate the lock. We recommend a good quality gun or lock oil. Do not use graphite-based or natural oils for lubrication. Over time, these can cause the disc detainer to stick and the lock's performance to deteriorate.
Finally, check that the hatches move freely and adjust if necessary.

Stainless steel maintenance
Despite its name, stainless steel can still rust and needs care to stay looking good, "stainless", for years. Stainless steel mailboxes should also be washed from time to time to remove salt/slush residue before corrosion can form. Untreated surfaces can develop rust stains that cannot be removed by normal washing. However, if rust stains have formed on the surface of the mailbox, they can be removed without scratching the mailbox.
