Mounting to a wall
Installation on a wall, fence, or mailbox stand
When installing the letterbox onto a wooden frame, you will need a measuring tape, drill and screwdriver. Mounting screws for wooden frames are included with the letterboxes. Bobi Xpress letterboxes have pre-drilled mounting holes, but for all round-top Bobi letterboxes the mounting holes in the back wall must additionally be drilled open with a 6 mm metal drill bit.
If the mailbox is installed directly on a stone, concrete, or brick wall, a hammer drill and masonry drill bit are also required, along with suitable fasteners for the surface, such as wall plugs, anchors, etc.
Note! Before drilling holes in the wall, make sure that the location is exactly where it should be and that the mail slots are at the recommended height for mail delivery.
The back wall of round-top Bobi letterboxes has pre-marked knockouts for the mounting holes.
The Bobi Xpress model has ready-made mounting holes.
The Bobi Xpress model comes with a nameplate as standard.
